Debunk,transfix, flinch

debunk: (우리가 기존에 알던 것이) 아니라고 밝히다, 별 중요한 것이 아니라고 밝히다.


to show that something is less ​important, less good, or less​true than it has been made to ​appear:
The writer's ​aim was to debunk the ​myth that had ​grown up around the ​actress.
Every ​week some long-held ​medical ​theory is debunked.

transfix: 얼어붙게 만들다, 넋을 잃게 만들다.
to make a ​person or ​animal ​unable to ​move or ​stop ​looking at something because they are so ​interested, ​surprised, or ​frightened:
The ​conference ​delegates were transfixed by her ​speech.

flinch : 움찔하다.
to make a ​sudden, ​small ​movement because of ​pain or ​fear:
He didn't ​even flinch when the ​nurse ​cleaned the ​wound.
