 to make ill-humored or discontented —usually used as a participial adjective <they were a very disgruntled crew — Flannery O'Connor>

<ill-humored: easily angered or annoyed>

1. <an employee, disgruntled by the restaurant owner's shabby treatment, turned him in to the IRS>
2. <a crew disgruntled by a long voyage that provided no opportunity for recreation onshore>

 to rotate (as a motion-picture camera) so as to keep an object in the picture or secure a panoramic effect.
