regard: consider, '보다' 라는 뜻을 가지고(어원적으로) 있다. 

regardless: 어쨌거나 (저째거나), 그래도 => 

              단독으로 쓰이면

==> 연락하다 라는 뜻도 있고, 여기서는 한 번 들르다.

==> 사람에게 짧게 연락하다, 장소를 잠깐 들르다.
