as 해석 관련해서 하나....

<헤이캉>님이 as로 인해 해석이 잘되지 않아 질문을 했습니다. 

* Distinct roles are assigned to different pheromones, as can be illustrated by the differences in the pheromones produced by the poisons. - 영원님 여기서도 as는 접속사로 쓰인건가요? 경제성을 위해 주어?만 생략한거구요ㅠㅎ^^

 

☞ 위 문장에서 as는 <관계대명사>처럼 사용된 <유사관계대명사>입니다.

우리가 자주 접하지 않아 어려움을 느낄 수도 있는데요.

as가 관계대명사처럼 앞의 절 전체나 그 일부를 선행사로 하는 계속적 용법으로 사용되기도 합니다.

따라서 위 문장의 as는 앞의 절 전체를 대신하고 있습니다.

* Distinct roles are assigned /to different pheromones, as can be illustrated /by the differences in the pheromones /produced by the poisons.

  (뚜렷한 역할들이 다양한 페로몬<동종 유인 호르몬>에 할당되는데, 그것은 독성에 의해 생성된 페로몬속에 있는 차이들에 의해 설명될 수 있다.)
