(만나면) 서로가 못 잡아 먹어서 안달이다 (at each other's throats)

만나기만 하면 서로  말다툼하고 서로에 대한 나쁜 감정을 표현하는 사람들을 보면 "서로가 못 잡아 먹어서 안달이다"라는 표현을 사용한다. 그런 표현이 영어에도 있는데 "at each other's throats" 이다.

Said of two people who are noticeably angry with each other.

(서로가 서로에게 열 받았다는 것을 한 눈에 알 수 있는 두 사람에게 사용한다.)

COMMON If two people or groups are at each other's throats or at one another's throats, they are arguing in a very angry way. 

 

MPs are at one another's throats all the time, and it's not functioning as a very effective government.
